THE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT
- To provide a happy, safe and stimulating environment where each child can reach their full potential whilst working at their own pace.
- To help support children emotionally by listening to them, by offering them the appropriate activities for them to deal with their emotions and by giving language and explanation for children to cope with their feelings.
- To encourage the development of independence, to allow freedom within clearly defined limits and to promote good self-image and a feeling of security.
- To help children be aware of different cultures and communities and to provide positive images and experiences.
- To promote Equal Opportunities within the group to include staff, children and their families, and to provide a curriculum that meets the needs of the whole community, taking into consideration the needs of those with disabilities.

The staff go above and beyond for you and your child. I have been overwhelmed with the time and effort they put in and some of the things they come home with are keepsakes forever.
Highampton Preschool has a fantastic setting with a large indoor hall and outdoor space.
All the staff are welcoming and give the children exceptional learning experiences. The children receive great care and also come home happy. The nurturing environment and the family atmosphere mean the children develop as they would at home with their parents. Children are encouraged to develop their independence through many activities meaning they are ready for the next step into primary school.
My son is very very happy at Highampton Preschool.
The staff are wonderful and have created such a caring and supportive environment where the children thrive. I’m regularly brought home the most wonderful crafts and my son beams whenever I mention preschool or any of the preschool teachers. I feel very lucky that he has a place at Highampton.
